Default Dagnabbit! I wanna selectable locker for my 8.8 Super

But geee willikers! there don't seem to be any yet available for this 2015+ model year F150 8.8 Super... there's a Torsen made for the Mustang IRS' 8.8 Super, but that is a different diff housing.

Wish I could chuck an OX in there. I like the road manners of the open diff but want a spool for certain sections of slow trail.

Dagnabbit. :-|

The True-Trac is a very similar design to the Torsen (just slightly simplified) and does a great job for everything except actually hanging a wheel in the air. I have a True-Trac in the '05 and an E-lock in the '13. I like the TT better. Especially in wet or icy conditions. I'm contemplating pulling the E-lock out of the '13 and putting a TT in it's place. Then I want to put a Raptor/Torsen in the front.

I feel like changing gears would be pointless w/o also adding a E locker in the rear at the same time since I've been doing a lot more off-roading. I'm arriving at the conclusion that to obtain this I need to swap the Super 8.8 for a 9.75". Has anyone swapped their Super 8.8 for a 9.75"?

Late posting to this thread too, but does ARB make an air locker? Doesn't get much better than that.

I swapped my 8.8 with 3.31's for the 9.75 because they didn't make the gears I wanted for the 8.8. (Both my 8.8 and the now-installed 9.75 have the locking diff). I had my off-road shop source the axle for me, do the re-gear, and install it.

a used 9.75 is dirt cheap. if you really screw around, it might take you 3 hours to swap it in. Then you can sell yours for almost as much.

example

Yep. For example, if an F-150 gets in a front-end crash and is totaled out, but the rear end is fine, they sell the axle as the whole assembly.

I had my off-road shop handle it as part of a larger project, and there's a bit of "art" to a re-gear if you want the gears to be silent, so I had them do it. Very happy with it.

Yea, that's what I've been doing. Finding salvaged trucks on Craigslist that are being parted out. Only bad thing is people on CL are bad at communicating.
