FOA is used by a lot of off road racing outfits. Especially the class racers, mostly due to their costs, but heard good things about them over on Pirate4x4.

I've seen them at king of the hammers a few times and seen them on buggies at some of the score races but never had a chance to talk to any one with them. Figure it's worth a shot to run them seeing I've never heard anything bad about them. I'm always up to being the test dummy

Go read about them on dezert Rangers they get pretty mixed reviews. If that's all you can swing right now go for it. If you're comfortable rebuilding shocks all the time FOA might be just what you're looking for.

I could be wrong (happens a lot), but I was under the impression that FOA was on par with SwayAway, kind of second tier under King, Fox, Icon, Bilstein (race spec).

That doesn't mean you won't get a quality product with FOA or SwayAway, just that their tech isn't as far out on the tail like those mentioned above and their price reflects it.

edit for clarification: for factory replacement aftermarket units I would rank Bilstein with FOA and SwayAway. When you start getting into multi-tube bypass 3.5/4.5 etc... race shocks, Bilstein quality and performance history is easily on par with King/Fox/ICON

Yeah I was assuming they arent gonna be the same as running brand name. And cost is a big part of it (found out getting married is way more expensive than it should be) so was just looking for an alternative to still be able to upgrade the truck within my budget.

FOA has been around for awhile, they are a smaller outfit that caters to racers.

What is the cost on their kit?
