Default BDS Lift for offroading

Hey guys,
Looking at throwing on a 6 inch BDS for my 07 4WD Scab. I picked BDS because I have trouble finding a bad review about them and I like the peace of mind that comes with the no BS warranty.

I do a lot of mudding and off roading, but I have found very little off-roading reviews for BDS kits that use the front strut spacer.. Any off-roaders running the spacer lift? How does it perform?

I know that obviously a new coilover system would be better, but BDS doesn't offer it for the 04-08 models.

Might consider getting Fox/Icon/King to send me some front coilovers if the spacers aren't doing it for me, but that'd be a couple years down the road.

So anybody who 4 wheels and runs this kit, could you help me out? How is it?
Would I be better off looking at Fabtech or Pro comp stage II lifts that include coilovers originally? Thanks in advance

You'll be fine with the BDS. I have a zone kit on my truck and it has held up great. Zone is a sister company of bds. I'm in serious mud and deep water all the time in my 2012 fx4. 11 more payment mine is getting a straight axle and 4 link suspension.

Rough Country has the same warranty and quite a bit cheaper.

Thanks for the reply, your truck will be an absolute killer off road with the 4 link and axle swap, can't wait to see how that goes for you

I have a bds 6" as well on my 2013 f150 supercab. Running 35" nitto terra grappler g2's. Love it. I was a little worried at first about the ride but it handles great. Definately getting the coil overs later and maybe go to 37's. Would waste my time on the 4".

Thank you hope it helped at least a bit. I was able to find my zone 6 inch lift for 1300 shipped to the door from SBC off road out of Georgia. Just give them a call and ask their best price shipped to the door. You'll also get lifted struts instead of using a spacer like the rough country lift. With the lifted strut you can add a level kit and a add a leaf in the rear for an 8 inch lift for a couple hundred more. We build mega trucks as a side business so when it comes time I'll be going to super duty axles in front and rear when I do the 4 link suspension. Plan on using lockers in the front and rear with 40 inch boggers. When it comes time I'll post the build here as it comes together.

4 inch if you want a daily driver that will still fit parking garages, 6 if not. I went with a 4" BDS and now have 35s on it and it works great. I fit in the garages and still have no problem getting anywhere I need to for hunting. it was a bit dry this pas weekend when scouting, but still fun. The BDS kit has not given me one ounce of issue at all and I have about 65K miles on it.
