Default balancing big tires

hey guys i have a f-150 with a total of 9 inches of lift so i got some pretty big tires but i am running 15's with wheel spacers so they can turn but anyway the shop says they cant add weights to the lip of the rim cause the tire is too big and sticky weights cant work cause then they hit my brake caliper so... any ideas?? i heard of putting plastic soft air bb's in the tire to act as a self balancing type deal?? but how much and is that safe?? any help appreciated!!

eff that!!!
i got my factory sized 18" bfg at's installed and the tire shop couldn't balance them properly. i had a steering wheel shake that was almost two inches after i got the tires on. i told them to rebalance the tires and they told me that i might need an alignment. i replied "i told you the truck is shaking, not running to one side." so they tried again, and again i said... try again. so after try number three, they went for a ride with me. try number four got the manager....

go so angry, went to ford... had the tires "road force ballanced". i paid 100 bucks for balancing alone at ford... but now, my steering wheel only shakes 1/8 of an inch when the truck is governed out.

effin tire shop tried 4 times before i got fed up btw and i seen guys put 22's on their f150's with 8 inches of lift... they got road forced too.

i don't care what you may think man... its worth the coin.

Go to a tire place that does big rig tires. They have stuff called equal. It's a powder stuff that they'll pour in and it'll balance out on its own.

Yup, gotta use the powder. I have 37s and they ride exceptionally smooth with it.

does the powder go into the tire or is it like a seperate bad type deal thing? cause i seen some of the bag deal things but i dont have room between the rim and the caliper for them but if it goes into the tire then i can definitely use that stuff

Tire store. 2 bags. About half in each. 1 bag is for big truck tires.

airsoft BB's will work fine, and do the same job as the powder, just less messy if/when you change tires.

bonus points for people looking funny when you come to a stop and hear them bouncing around in there.

there is a calculation on how many BB's per tire, for size, weight, etc. But it will work fine.

Balancing beads will only balance tires over speeds of 45 mph. Anything under that, they don't do a thing. Any place that balances semi tires or farm equipment stuff can do a machine balance. I have our local Farm Bureau machine balance my 40"s on 22"s.
