hey guys have any of your used the ARB recovery damper. Ive been real lucky so far and never had a strap or chain(when I still used those) break on me. if you dont have the ARB damper what do yall use just in case the strap breaks. i really dont want a big hole in the tailgate or a busted window in my King Ranch lol. thanks yall

you put a towel in the middle of the strap when pulling and if it snaps the towel stops it from flying anywhere.

i do have a towel in the toolbox for that reason lol. ive just never been around a strap breaking with a towel on it to see if it actually works.

I watched a 10,000lb nylon web strap break and actually puncture a tailgate, ever since then I have a small heavy blanket in the truck for that reason

I have been pulling someone out with a 30 ft strap with metal hooks, it snapped and the hook on the other guys side came flying at me and I heard it smack me and I run around to the back side of my truck... It wrecked my license plate!! Broke my license plate and popped two screws out haha luckyyyy day

i use a winch with a synthetic cable! lol, cable was just put on, prior to that just hoped nothing broke! when you play , your gonna pay!!!

I use a large tube sock with two tennis ***** inside. Works great.
