anyone have problems with 3 inch blocks, vibration at low speeds????

They only seem to have 1 shim kit for 09+ f150s, from procomp. They only make 2 block kits for these year trucks, a 1.5 inch and a 3 inch, 1.5 is almost stock height and wouldnt require any shim. The shim is designed to work with the 3 inch kit. It shouldn't matter what brand u have. It wouldnt b the perfect angle for 2.5 inch blocks, but would b better than not having it in my eyes. Just curious, how long have u guys been driving your trucks like this?

Got under the truck last night and did a little measuring with the angle finder. Angle at the back of the trans is 5* and at the yoke on the DS is 2.5*, so the 2.5* kit is what I need which I already knew. For those interested I found some SPC brand shims on Amazon for $21 and if you have a prime membership they are prime eligible so you can have them in 2 days.

Thanks white out. Do you have 3inch blocks in back? Everyone out here do not order the procomp shims. The picture online of the 52700 kit is rite, but when u recieve it, it will not b correct. That kit is flat shims, not tapered, u can lift your back more but will make ur angles worse. Follow white outs lead, the ones on amazon are the correct ones, if they match the online pic.

No, these are the Ford specific shims I ordered. They should be here today and if they get here in time I will throw them in after work.

So, I talked to the local shop and they said Pro Comp didnt make a kit for 4x4 F-150... When I get under the truck and measure, I'm almost possitive these blocks are flat without an angle, but 4 Wheel Parts site says it has a taper. I want to see if anyone can confirm if the Pro Comp blocks are tapered or flat before I take them out to see if they're installed backwards or order shims. Thanks

Got everything installed today and it seems as though the vibration went away. As far as your Pro Comp blocks being tapered or not its really easy to tell if they are or not. If the block is taller in the rear than it is in the front then its tapered. If not then its not and you probably need shims. If you can't tell then go buy a cheap angle finder and measure the angle of the driveshaft at the back of the trans and the pinion yoke on the differential. They should be complete opposite angles (ie -5* at trans needs to be +5* at pinion yoke.)
