I have an 05 f150 Stx 4x4. I want to throw a 6 inch lift on it. Im somewhat new to the whole off road seen, so when it comes to lift idk what all i need. Do i have to buy new shocks and struts? If so can i buy the ones i want then get the lift? Also kinda hard at the time to throw 2k towards a lift kit. Im sure its cheaper to buy a kit VS piecing it together but I may have to just piece it together. Ideas? Thanks!

Some of the kits such as BDS can be ordered with fox. Others allow you to order less their lift without shocks and get your own. All shock / strut manufacturers will make them just about any length you want. It's not new to the shock folks so call them and talk to them. It's likely they will already know what you need based on your truck, the lift etc.

Not being a jerk but if you don't have 2k for a 6inch lift kit then you can't afford one. The price of being high is high

Mcguaghys 6.5" and I got it from stage3motorsports they beat every price I could find and they actually messaged me and offered to beat the best price I got
