Is a 4 inch lift more for show rather than purpose?

I want a lift kit to be able to go off roading and handle whatever, not boulder climbing though lol.

my goal is to have 4 or 6 in and 35 trail graps m/t... also - offset = tires poking out of the wheel well?? I like that look.

Don't do a lift. If you want your truck to work off road (as well as on the street) get a long travel setup. Look at Camburg or Dixon Bros., its expensive but you will really enjoy driving your truck everywhere.
