Just my personal experience... I have an 03 4.6L with 305/70/16 on it and 4.10 gears. The 4.10's made a huge difference and am glad I did it. The stock 3.55's were very sluggish and none existent for acceleration so I'm very happy with my set up and the gears have about 8,000 miles on em now

ok i see a lot of people talking about the gears and such but never thought to mention to anyone when regearing a 4x4 you have to change the front too. but i hear a lot of guys not putting in the same gear ratio in the front its usually always the slower gear ratio is that true??

I had 4.6 with 3.55 and 33s for 6 months and it totally sucked. It strained so hard to accelerate and was very hard to make it stay in overdrive. Recently swapped to 4.11s and a detroit locker and i absolutely love it. Feels like i have a stock truck again no more sluggishness

That is somewhat true. I regear'd to a 4.56 from a 3.55 on both diffs. The front is a reverse cyt and sets up on an 8.8 axle and the rear is a standard cut and sets up on a 9.75 axle. I have heard that the front set is 1 tooth short of the rear, so technically youre right. But it is still advertised as a 4.56 ratio reverse cut kit. They MUST be the same ratio or you will cause serious damage once 4WD is engaged!
