2012 Ford f150 lift questions
 
How's it going guys. I have a couple of questions, I own a 2012 Ford f150 SCREW 5.0 2wd and I was thinking of a 6 inch lift all around and adding a 2.5 leveling space strut up front to a little squat going on. That and I would like to fit 37s. But I wanted to ask if it would work with the spacer and If the tires would fit without grinding nothing down. If any of yall have a set up like the one I'm describíng or a 8 inch lift please show it off!!

Dont stack a leveling spacer on a spacer that will likely come with a 6inch lift. Dont squat either, that's stupid for soo many reasons.


Most 6inch kits will level you out. Some let you fit 37's depending on your offset. Add a body lift if you definitely want to clear 37's.

I saw one by rough country and it didn't come with it that's why I was asking. And I think the man reason I wanna lift the front more is to fit the 37s I'm pretty sure a 2 inch increase up front won't look that bad. Even compared to other guys that basically leave the rear suspension stock lmao!!

Pretty sure the rough country 6"s definitely come with strut spacers. You could always get a spindle lift. I'm not as familiar with them as they only work on the 2wd trucks.

Ass draggin' looks stupid as hell. Nothing like looking overloaded without your groceries even in the box.

What reason is there to do this on a 2wd truck other than to show off at the mall? You going to re-gear and throw in a good locker or air locker into the pumpkin?

The only way to Stack a level is by using either a Custom coilover like those for the BDS 6" or custom made kings/icons. Or using rancho's 6" coilovers and stack a level.

I assume you want to run 24x16 inch rims too as well? Just stop while you're ahead. Get a 4x4, put a good mud grappler on minimal rim and abuse your truck like the fine engineers at ford intended. The curbs at the mall aren't that big. Your stocker can handle them. Sorry to be blunt, just a pet peave of mine.

Trust Me Brother I Going To Push That Truck Until Breaking Point. I hate the guys here in tow that have expensive f150 and f250 with 12 inch lifts and 24x16 American forces and just go to the mall. I actually have a ranch that I need my f150 to haul the trailer and go off road and I don't want to trade it in for a 4th since I only owe the bank one more year so I plan to keep it lol.

my question is why are you driving a two wheel drive if you plan on doing all this off-roading?

Because when I first got it I only needed to haul small loads so I didn't really need 4x4 at the time but either way I'm not going to do excessive off road probably just a dirt for but either way the majority of people with 4x4 don't even use it but it's handle to have. (:now I'm buying cattle so I would like to give it attitude and probably some other stuff to increase payload lol

Ah I see. Not too knowledgeable in the lifts but from what I saw when I was researching them rough country is a pretty cheap lift and not as good quality down the road. Harder on joints and bearings then the higher quality lifts
