Default 1984 f150 8 inch lift - shaky front end on the hwy ....???? Help

I'm doing a restore , mod on a old Ford . I've had one years ago. They are fun to drive . Love my lifted trucks. The wobble is concerning. Any one have advice ?

Ditch the 8 inch lift and whatever huge tires that it probably has and it will likely drive better.

Wobble is usually caused by excessive positive caster. Probably because the radius arm mounts aren't dropped enough to keep them at their original angle. Starting in 1980 Ford went to a very short radius arm and lifting became problematic. For a while (many years ago) Rancho made a really nice set of extended arms. You had to remove the mounting lugs from the frame and move them back 18" to accommodate the longer arms. It was a bit of a job, but it really made the TTB a much better front end for 'wheeling.

like PerryB mentioned the radius arms not being dropped properly along with wore out I beam bushings, and wore out tie rods will contribute to this as well. Also the tires them self will make a big effect on it as well. if they are out of round a little. bias ply will make em rough until they warm up as long as they are good tires.

You might install a steering stabilizer. I put one on my 85, its not lifted YET, but it worked wonders for me. I used to hit a big bump and almost get thrown off the road but now I hardly notice them. I know that's not the problem you are having but I read that they will help with the "death wobble."
