What the heck,
Model. F150 with 300 I-6, 4speed, 4x4.
Year. 1983
Mileage. Unknown. It's either 77,000 or 177,000.(maybe more?)
Custom equiptment/mods. Some sort of tubular aftermarket grill and brushguard with fog lights. The battery is held in with weedwacker line I found in the bottom of my tool box. A Doritos bag and zip ties serves duty as power steering pump cap.
Description. This is an off-road only farm truck. I use it for hauling firewood. It was given to me seven years ago by a friend who also used it for hauling firewood. The passenger door doesn't open because the cab pinched it shut. When fully loaded, the box scrapes against the cab which makes a hideous sound....probably similar to what the Titanic sounded like as it tore in half on it's way to the bottom.
One time it left me stranded in the woods with a dead battery. I left the hood open, grabbed the chainsaw, and my dog and I walked home. I was going to get it the next day but it snowed and I couldn't get to it. It sat there, with the hood open, (without air cleaner!) for a whole year. Eventually my Chevy friends started giving me a hard time about it. That's when I grabbed a fresh battery, a pop bottle full of gas, and my 24" Matco breaker bar. I pulled the acorns and leaves out of the carb, replaced the battery, and broke the engine free (the rings rusted to the cylinder walls) with the breaker bar. It started immediately!
The exhaust scared all the Sasquatch out of the woods. The power brake booster leaks a little. That's OK though. If I have to, I can just bump into stuff to slow down. The Sun dims when I start it....

I have more pics in my introduction thread.
I'd be surprised and honored to win TOTM. Y'know, they make Toyotas out of these... Not this one though! I'm gonna keep her running 'til it busts in half! Built Ford Tough!
