Default Wheel Offset

I will be purchasing a new set of wheels and tires along with a 2.25" ReadyLift leveling kit. The tires I am purchasing are BFG KM2's (305/55R20). The wheels I am purchasing are Pro Comp 50 50 Series in black (20X9). This leads me to my question.

The only offsets available for the wheels I want are -12mm & +18mm. I have researched about if these offset wheels would work with my truck (2016 F150 XLT 4X4) without cutting anything or rubbing and according to the websites and forums I visited, they will. However, on one of the wheel/tire/lift forums I visited, I talked to an admin about it and he said both will work, but it's possible there could be some cutting involved. That answer is different according to what I read. All he said was, "well then, just go with what look you like better."

So the question is, do I go with the -12mm offset or +18mm? I had -12mm offset wheels on my 06 with a 6" lift and 35X12.5R18 wheels. Will -12mm wheels on my 2016 look like the ones from 06 (how far they stick out)?

Thanks in advance for any responses & sorry for the long post.

+18 would be the better choice for no problems.

Go with +18 unless you want to remove your crash bars (not recommended). Here's my +18 with 35x12.5's...

Positive offset will poke out a little.. stock is +44 and tires are inside the wheel well.
