What do you guys know about TPMS sensors
Got this email about TPMS SENSORS
If your vehicle is an 07 model or newer, there’s a great chance you’ve got TPMS Sensors (after all, they’re required by law). Most aftermarket wheels require aftermarket sensors, since the signal on OE sensors have a limited signal. In fact, we tested 1,000’s of OE sensors, and almost none worked through the thick sidewalls of AT and MT tires. Guarantee proper function with our high-quality sensors, and save the hassle of dismounting and rebalancing the wheels locally, for just $179.
So I picked up OEM Ford sensors for my year truck for $25 dollars all 4 wheels. Havent got tires yet but is this statement true that I should go with aftermarket sensors?

Plenty of members here used the OEM sensors with aftermarket wheels with no issues. Might be an issue with a high negative offset wheel but it's hard to say without actually testing it.

Why OEM (original equipment manufacturer) TPMS is better than aftermarket TPMS
VS 
- Aftermarket sensors lack of specialized help at auto shops when tpms is malfunctioning, broken
- much more information on OE sensors, relearn procedures, install procedures, compatibility
- OE TPMS has longevity, longer battery life (5-7 years)
- OE TPMS manufacturer warranty
- availability of OE TPMS replacement parts
- excellent, attentive customer service from OE TPMS retailers and distributors

It's best to stick with OEM if you can. We've had two aftermarket sensors fail on us so far. The latest was a month ago, a Schrader brand made it 40 miles down the road before it failed.

My tpms lasted almost 8 years and 120k miles before one failed and popped a sensor fault message in the cluster.
I’m ok with that, as long as Uncle Sam says we have to have them.
Where did you find 4 tpms for 25 bucks?

OEM sensors will work fine. HUF is one of the global leaders in TPMS technology.

The only reason to get aftermarket sensors is if they don’t fit on your wheel or you have a second set of wheels. I have my second set of wheels with aftermarket sensors because they are cloned like the OEM sensors.
