Hey all, thanks in advance for the opinions. I just bought a used 2014 F150 XLT 4WD SCREW and will be purchasing the Bilstein 5100's for her (https://www.stage3motorsports.com/14...Shock-Kit.html) front & rear for $369. I'd like an aggressive tire but not overly so. Virtually all my driving will be on-road but I live in rural Montana, so snow/gravel will be a factor. The Continental's on her currently are 275/65 R18. From an asthetic desire to give my truck a nice look, what would be most practical? Do I have to stay with the R18 designation? I get confused with the sizing.

Thanks again.

Nitto Terra Grappler G2 's, 265/70R17 115T on 2.7EB 2wd 17x8 inch 0 offset wheels, 1 3/4 inch Icon 2.5 lift.

Replaced OEM Michelin LTX. I run 33 psi cold, adjusted speedometer, have not lost any MPG. Quiet as the OEM's, ride as good. Better wet and snow traction, more stable turning into and thru corners, better response to steering inputs. Much more stable after loosing traction and easy to recover. So far so good, need to get some summer use. KM

Default Nitto Ridge Grapplers

So far I have run the 275/55r20 hankook dynaopros, nitro ridge grapplers D rated in 305/55r20 and now i run the ridge grapplers in 285/75r20 in a c rating.

Not a fan of 20' in rims on trucks so I ended up selling everything and getting 17" with more rubber !!!!!

If you want smooth, the dynapro is actually pretty awesome and i really never had an issue with them in any weather. I just didn't like the look and they didn't fill the wheel well good enough for me .

The ridge grappler in a c rating are by far my favorite tire. Its a beast. Soft on the highway and amazing when I'm hunting in the PA woods. its all about the rating though !

Put these Toyos with Fuel Kranks on my new F-150. Getting some rubbing during full turn. Had the exact same wheels and tire size (BFGs) on my 2013 with no problems. Anyone else had a rubbing problem with the Toyo open Country A/Ts?? Any fix??

I ran through a set of BFGs on last track. They looked good, and had good life, but was not impressed with the ride as they wore. They were very needy with balancing. Heard good things about the Toyos, so thought I would try them. They look good, and ride well, just getting some rub...

-Leveling Kit
-Fuel Krank Wheels
-Toyo Open Country A/T 275/65/R20

Thanks-

Hmmm. I guess. It is rubbing in the front on what could be a black bar like you describe. I was unaware of the change. Anyone ran across a fix, short of trimming tire? Thanks. Good input.

Two options really...Spread the crash bars or remove them. Some will cut the bars out, but I took the bumper off and removed them that way in case I needed to put them back on in the future.

Default Tire Size / Ride Stiffness

1) 2015
2) 4wd
3) I already installed a Crown Complete 3/5 Drop Kit

My question is I am in a wheelchair and want the truck a little lower. Right now I have:
- 275 / 55R20 (which are 31.9" overall with 6" sidewalls)

If I go to:
-285 / 35R22 (which are 29.9" overall with 3.9" sidewalls)

The lowering has made the ride so stiff already. How much do tire size and sidewalls incorporate into the stiffness of the ride. If I go the the 35R22, will that make the ride noticeably stiffer or will I not really be able to tell? Thank you for advice. I'd prefer not to go to smaller tires on the 20" rims because that might make gap to big and make truck look awkward?

I am currently using Michelin LTX A/T2 All-Season Radial Tire. It has a rubber molded tread block design. It is not a directional tire. Produces little extra noise. Performs best on gravel roads. Offers more substantial stability during highway riding. It gives six years or 60,000-mile tread life warranty. It provides good traction. Ensures secured ride on dry or conditions. Adds strength. The cons that I have found is Stone retention
