Tire Review Thread

Last December I replaced my Pirelli's with Mich LTX M/S 2's and haven't looked back! The question is, what will your cost per mile be? The way I figure it, based on the realistic mileage members of the board get and have reported, the LTX mileage is far superior to most other tires, and they are therefore less expensive in the long run. I purchased mine online and saved the sales tax too! They are a great tire. Not the best in mud, fair in snow, great in rain, and are quiet and don't beat you to death.

I loved my Mud Graps, but you probably won't get more than 20k miles out of them. Did awesome in rainy conditions, but did just ok in snow and ice. Horrible in sand/gravel. Rotate them often...

I'm getting these for $800 they might have 3k on them. For half price for practically brand new tires I feel that I'm gonna get a better deal than that so I'm gonna try em. We don't get a lot of snow around here. A good ice atleast once a year And I work on a farm so the horrible in sand/gravel will prolly be a down fall for me.

ok. I need help. I live in East Tennessee and have started taking yearly trips out west to the Rockies and California. As of right now I have Michelin LTX MS2 tires. They are great for highway driving, wet roads, and light dirt and snow. I know that these are considered Highway all season tires. I would like to upgrade to A/T tires to have the security of knowing I can get out of trouble more easily. I would say I drive 75% highway and 25% dirt/gravel/off-road. I have heard great things about the Wrangler Duratracs, Terra Grapplers, and BFG rugged Terrains. Any suggestions or advice from yall is much appreciated! 2011 f150 FX4 SCAB Ecoboost with 275/55/20 size tires. I would also like something that can handle the snow decently since I never know when I am traveling and snow storms pop up quick out there...

Anyone run general grabbers? Found a set with 1000 miles on them for 1200 for a 35x12.50r20 is this good or bad? How do they do on and off road? In the sand, mud, clay all of it.

Not sure anyone wants a review on my original tired
General Ameritrac 255/70R17
One front tire flat & belt separated after that -27k miles -but about 7 years old
2nd front tire belt separated...badly...flat tire of the expressway not quite 31k miles on it....but 9 years
Rear tires I haven't had a problem with....but they are 9+ years old
One moved to the spare rim, one kept off the rim just in case
Just replaced rear tires w/265/70R17 BFG Rugged Terrain A/T
no real feedback yet on those as just went on yesterday
Age will kill a tire w/me long before the tread wears out....less then 4k miles a year
Considered the Grabber AT2 -about the same price
But I don't really off-road so went w/better highway tire
Like the look of the BFG's so far, need to take the truck on the highway
