Hey guys, looking for a little insight one what everyone else thinks. I'm looking to get new tires and I've narrowed it down too 3 different tires. Size is 275/70/R18 btw.
Tires in mind are
Nitto Grapplers
Cooper Discovers STT
Toyo Open Country M/T
Leaning towards the Nitto's.. Most of my driving is city/highway but occasionally like too kick it in 4x4 and get some mud on the tires. Any help would be great. Thanks guys.

For that reason I went with Toyo Open Country A/T.. aggressive tread with a 65,000 mile warranty. I was pretty impressed with the design and looks of the tread. Here is a link----

Here is what they look like after 5k miles in my attached pic.
I hope this information helps...let me know what you decide..but the Nittos are fine tires as they are manufactured by the same company as Toyo.

I've had all 4 of the above mentioned tires. I also had Mud grapplers, and those were my absolute favorite. But since those aren't an option, my second favorite are the Trail Graps. We have them on our F350. They are nowhere near as loud as most M/T's... Had the Toyos, and hated them. The Coopers rubber compound was too hard, and sucked in wet conditions (and dry for that matter).
The Nittos are overall my favorite tire. Keep in mind that ANY mud terrain won't last near as long as an all terrain.

I have a set of Toyo Open Country A/T's. They are near death from old age. My ride is like Jell-o. I just put a set of KYB Gas A Just shocks on thinking that would do it. It didn't. The stealership recommended the BFG Rugged Terrains. I'm not going with the LT series because of price and I don't want it to ride like a brick. Also this is mostly a daily driver. I don't haul or pull a trailer often enough to justify the extra $30 per tire. I don't know if the Toyo's are completely shot or if they are just a soft riding tire. I will say they are still super quiet. Many times as tires wear they get louder. Looking forward to the BFG's for a firmer ride and great looks.

I just put a set of BFG Rugged Terrain 265/70/17 on my 2003 King Ranch SCrew. It had Toyo Open Country's on it. The ride firmed up a bit, which I wanted. Despite the aggressive tread, these BFG's are super quiet, which I also wanted. So far, about 1000 miles in, I love these tires.
