Question Tire Advice Please - 285/65 vs 275/65

Hey guys, I know there's a lot of threads out there on this topic but I could use some advice. I have a 2018 Sport XLT SCrew 5.0 on order (Lightning Blue). I'm planning to do a 2.25" Bilstien lift and run Fuel Sledge 20"x9" wheels with +20 offset. I'm trying to decide between these tire sizes in BFG KO2...

285/65R20 (34.6" diam x 11.4" wide)
275/65R20 (34.1" diam x 10.8" wide)

From what I've read guys say the 285s offer a nicer ride, but you also notice a power drop from the bigger tires and they may require bending crash bars. 275s should have no issues rubbing and a bit more power but some say a rougher ride. Anyone running a setup like this have any suggestions/recommendations? Pics of your rides? Things I'm not thinking of?

I put a readylift 2.25" on my 2017 XLT SCrew 5.0 FX4. I also put on 285/65/20s, on stock wheels though. I have no rubbing and did not have to bend or remove crash bars. It rides good, I did notice some loss of power in low speeds. My rear is stock for now. I plan on adding a block for 1.0 inch or so and 5100 Bilsteins.

The 285/65's with your Bilstein lift will not rub. They will cost you approx. 1.5 mpg hit. As long as you don't over air them the ride is fine. I run mine at 40psi unloaded.

Awesome, thanks for the advice guys. I think I'll go with the 285/65 after all. Appreciate it.

I just did 285/65R18 Toyo Open Country AT2's. No lift/No level on stock Sport rims and no rub.
