Default Stuck On Wheel/Tire Sizes, Please Help

Hey Guys,
First time here and very first post!
I did look around but I wasn't entirely sure so I figured I'd ask.

I have a nothing too special 2007 F150 XLT. I got a great deal on it recently so I grabbed it. It's in awesome shape and I love it. I am not looking to go nuts on this truck, just tidy it up some.

I have done a few things like a bull bar and front LED's, new headlights, bed cover, LED bulbs etc.

OK, Wheels and Tires!! Ugh, for some reason I just don't get it

The truck has standard 18" ugly wheels and the tires are 265/60/R18
I am about to (today) put 2.5" leveling kit on the front and that'll be it.
I want to order wheels and tires online, have them show up and just put them on myself.

BUT WHAT SIZE?? I really just want to fill out the wheel wells so the wheels don't look so lost or small.

I guess the wheels can just stay level with the truck or stick only a tad.
I know I like Nitto Terra Grappler G2 Tires, wheels I didn't decide on yet.

I just do not get it on this offset etc. stuff! Some people are telling me smaller rim (17), bigger tire, some are saying larger rim (19) different tire! Offset, width, height, whatever, I'm kinda clueless

Take mine off, throw the new ones on, have the stance look better and fill out the wheel wells some without any rubbing, that's my plan.

Damn, this got long didn't it, sorry about that! Any and all ideas or measurements are much appreciated. The pic is my current wheel.

Id stick with a 18 inch wheel that way you don't sacrifice ride quality when going up to a larger rim. A +25mm offset wheel will make tires stick out just a little bit more than factory to give you that more aggressive stance. After the level install you would be good up to a 33 inch tire without any rubbing issues. I have a 2009 stx with a 2 inch level with 275/70r18s on stock wheels. They are 33.2 tall 10.8 wide. No rubbing before the leveling kit or after. Plan on going to a +18mm offset wheel and 33 12.50 tires now that it's leveled.

Awesome, thanks so much Would you happen to have a picture? I'm looking at the "show off your wheels page" page now to get an idea of styles too. Thanks again!

When I'm looking at "wheel width" on wheel/tire websites, what width am I looking at?

Standard 18 inch aftermarket wheel will be 9 inches wide. Stock wheels are 7.5 wide.

Sorry, one more (I'm useless at this) that 33x12.5 equals 285/65-R18? (as on normal websites asking for a tire size) Any other size options similar that work on the 18" for my vehicle as described? You're the best

285/65r18 is a smaller tire than the 33 12.50. The 285 is the width at 11.2 inches versus the 12.5. The height of the 285 65 is 32.6 inches vs the 33. A 305 65r 18 is 33.6 inches tall and 12 inches wide. That would be the tallest you'd prob be able to go with just a level kit. Not many choices on brands with that size. I know toyo makes a 305 65r18. I work at general tire and I get big discounts on their tires is why I have the pictured at2s. Will go to the grabber x3 when I get new rims. They don't carry the 305 65 so with have to settle for the 33 12.50. Also you could go with the size I'm running now but I don't personally care for the look of a 275 on a 9 inch wide rim. Tire is not wide enough to protect the rim from scrapes ect. Does good on the stock 7.5 inch rims though. 275 is the stock tire width for my truck. My tires just have a higher aspect ratio of 70 instead of 65 witch makes them taller. The 275 65r is 32.1 inches tall vs the 33.2 inches of the 275 70r. The 65 and 70 is the aspect ratio of the height of the sidewall from the width(275) which gives you height. The sidewall is 65 percent of the width of the tire or 70 percent of the width.

What do you think about any of these choices I've looked at? Like? don't like? Did I mess anything up?
