I am thinking about getting some new rims and trying this on the back side of the rim. It'd be alot easier redoing this then scrubbing brake dust off. Maybe every 3 to 6 months, take the rim off, peel off the old coat and reapply it.

Here is the best part. When I had my new tires installed the plasti dip on the edges of the wheels got pulled up. Took a razor blade around the outside lip of the wheel. Peeled off the messed up part and just re-sprayed where I removed the peeling plasti dip. Looks like it never happened! Here is a quick pic. Will get some better ones once the weather gets a little nicer here.

pahleese post more pics. some better quality ones would be great as well!

I know this may be a silly question, but did you do your emblems while they were still on the truck or did you remove them?

How did you manage to tape around the emblems? Or did you?

Yea don't tape the shape of the emblem. You tape a square about inch from emblem. Then tape newspaper around so overspray doesn't get everywhere. Then just spray the emblems couple 3 or 4 times. Once it's all dry and u remove newspaper there will be a black square around your emblem and on the paint. Just start peeling the dip off the truck very simple and if u mess up just peel it off.

How did you do inside the 0 if the 150? You got no plasti dip there...

Also for the people who did their rims, where did you tape? Around the tire I assume and what about the holes for the lug nuts, did you have to tape inside them so they didn't close up or what?
