Default 305/50R20 Pirelli

After suffering a bad flat with 3 remaining Toyo 275/65's remaining I decided to go with a new tire size closer to stock height. I went with 305/50 on my FX4 20's. I was getting very little time off road and didn't feel I needed an off-road tire when 90% of my truck duty is on road and towing.

305/50 should be wider and taller than factory right?

It's barely taller but quite a bit wider. I love it compared with stock. Handling has been great and it looks much better than the 275. Tire size calculator says it is 0.3% taller (or a 10th of an inch) and about an inch and a quarter wider

Any effect on your mileage? My truck is similar, 2012 FX4 with same 20 rims, no lift, stock scorpion 275/55R20 ATR. Only complaint about the stock scorpions is that they track poorly (keep eyes on the road). I don't do offroad much and it is all flat here in FL. Looking for good road handling, and acceptable offroad if I have to drive on a muddy shoulder or similar. Priorities are quiet, good tracking, excellent heavy rain performance and no loss in mileage. My driving with ecoboost is now a consistent average of 19.3 mpg. Oh, and any contact when turning?

I went from stock up to 275/65's then back to the 305's so hard to compare to stock (which were on for a very short time period). The current tires handle much better on the street than the Toyo's but I would rather have gone with NT420S but couldn't locate anything and needed to replace tires due to a bad flat. No rubbing. Mileage much better than the larger 275/65's I had on and I assume similar to stock. Quieter than the offroad Toyo's I had and again similar to stock. Looks much better and happy with handling.

I'm in Canada, 13.5-14L/100km if my math is right that would be about 16.5-16.8 miles per gallon.

I should ad that my commute is flat, some stop and start but basically flat hwy.
