new 2018 SE Lariat 4x4 - Help me decide - 22 or 24?
As per the title - I want to be talked into (or out of 24") wheels.
Yes i understand the potential difference in ride. Coming from a 2011 Harley with 22" and 305's - stock shocks which rode well ( I have a 911 on 19's and a 1973 Mazda RX3 - so its all relative)
The truck is 4WD and FX4. I will be lowering with a NON axle flip kit and will be upgrading shocks for a better ride
The roads are reasonable - (i live in Sydney) but no where near perfect. I am used to avoiding them (i have 19' and 20" with 25;s and 30 series on other cars) so not really an issue.
I will prob never take it off road - I did one trip about 15 years ago in my old F250 - and its just not my bag.
YOLO and do the 24's!!! ive always been a huge fan of the big rim look and am battling myself with either 22's or 24's too.

Is it safe to assume you didnt read op's 3 sentence post before you semi **** on him? He clearly stated he was going to be lowering his truck so obviously hes not going off road in it lol
Hate to break it to you but most of the guys with the jacked up trucks and AT tires arent going off pavement either lol

There's inevitably going to be that one guy who asks you why you would ever buy a 4x4 truck if just to lower it, but Dorian has been running 10.7s 1/4 miles thanks to 4WD in his lowered RCSB, so it makes for a great combination if you ask me.

I am looking at drop spindles for the front (to keep suspension travel and a NON axle flip kit - about a 2/3 or 2/4 drop kit. My head says 22's but my heart longs for 24's.... over here where they are few and far between (and $150K) i want it to be different to all of the jacked up Rangers !
Hey Gents, i had 24" dub ballers on my 2013 and my 2017. Both trucks were lowered with a 2" front and 3" rear.
just shopping for a replacement set of wheels for the 24's, and am probably going with 22's. THe look of 24's on a slightly lowered truck is fabulous.
gonna try 22's this time, and will see how it goes !
