Default Leveling kit or 4 inch lift?

I have a 06 f150 fx4. I am considering a leveling kit and 35 inch tires. But am wondering about a 4 inch lift. I don't want something crazy aggressive but want a good look and off road performance. I know with a leveling kit my truck can clear 35s. But what about a 4 inch lift? Anyone had any experiences with the same year model and a leveling kit or 4 inch lift? Any thought welcomed. Honestly don't know what to do. Thanks

Here's a pic of my old 05 with a 4.5" Superlift. 35" Toyo M/T and 18" Pro Comp wheels. If you have the money I would suggest a suspension but with a $3000 budget, it will be tight, if not impossible, especially if you buy everything brand new.

I just got a set of rancho quicklifts and the matching 9000XL for the rear. It cost me $700 through summitracing.com but right now rancho has a rebate for $120 on my kit. so it would run you about $580. I have installed all but 1 of the quicklifts right now so I cannot comment on the ride quite yet but have heard a lot of good things. this is a leveling kit that is all brand new coils and everything. I say give it a look if you are interested. They are really easy to install yourself as well. I did both rears in about 30 minutes (didn't even have to jack it up on the rears) and the first front took me about 45 minutes after the tire was off. Just make sure whatever you decide to get an alignment afterwards.
EDIT: that should leave quite a bit to spend on wheels and tires of your choice.
