Level and Tires??

Level and Tires??
I know, I know. This is like beating a dead horse. But was just wondering if someone could shoot me straight. I've got a 17' crew cab, 6.5ft bed. It is a 4wd sport with factory 20in wheels. It's not a fx4 but don't really know if that matters. I'm looking at probably just a 2in level in the front. And a set of aftermarket wheels as close to factory offset as I can. Can I run a 295/55/20 with no issues? I don't really want to modify the crash bars or anything so just wanted to know before I get involved and spend the money. Or would I be better off staying with like a 285 tire?? Thanks

I wouldn’t suggest anything more than a 2” leveling on a 4X4. As for what size will fit, it’s hard for me say because I don’t own a 15+ with crash bars. I’ve leveled a bunch but the owners had always kept there stock tires.
BTW the first number of a tire size is the width not height.
Stock is 275/55R20 which converts to a 31.9X10.83
295/55R20 = 32.77X11.61 I’d be shocked if that tire wouldn’t fit.
If your referring to a 285/55R20 when you mentioned 285 that converts to 32.34X11.22
Could also go with a 275/60R20(32.99X10.83) it’s exactly 1” taller than stock but is the same width as stock.
