KMC Slide owners please come in
Guys, I need your help.
About 8 months ago I purchased a set of wheels and tires online (I will NEVER make that mistake again). I purchased Chrome KMC Slides 22x9.5 and Cooper Zeon XST-A 305/40R22s for my 2006 Ford F-150. When they arrived I installed them. Once I drove the truck there was a really bad shake. So I spent more money and had them re-balanced locally (Discount Tire). That helped but only a little. I waited a few weeks and then decided to have the tires balanced yet again. Discount Tire says the wheels are perfectly balanced however something is still wrong.
The company I purchased them from sent 2 sets of hub rings however neither set fit the F-150.
Just this week I purchased a new 2013 Ford F-150. Yesterday the dealer swapped the KMC Slides onto my new truck. Guess what the shake is back.
Does anyone have any recommendations as to what can be done to get a smooth ride? Am I asking too much to not be shaking with 22's? Also for people with Slides are you running hub rings? Do your slides have any shake?

For everyone running 22s what size tire are you running?
Cooper is telling me their 305/40R22 requires at least a 10" wheel but they recommend an 11" wheel. Here is their response:
"In order for a tire to run uniformly, the placement on the rim must be centered and balanced. The vehicle’s alignment settings and suspension system work in conjunction with your tires. Changing tire sizes and ply types can greatly affect your vehicle’s performance. Using a rim that either too large or too narrow can cause uniformity issues to develop early in the tire’s service life. The rim size listed below is too narrow for size 305/40R22. The approved rim width sizes for this tire size is 10.0-12.0”. We recommend an 11.0” wheel for this size tire. I hope this information is helpful. "

Update: went to Discount Tire this morning and purchased Nitto 420S 305/40R22s. So far I have only been up to 60 MPH however there was NO vibrations or shake. I will update again when I get some highway time.
