bfg's or Nitto's
Im trying to decide on what tire would be best for my truck. I do alot of highway driving and light towing. I want a good looking tire which is why i was considering the bfg all terrains or nitto terra graplers. tire size will probably be 265 70 17. Is there any other tires i should consider and which one would you rather have.

I run Geolander ATS in 265/70/17. One of the best tires I have bought in my opinion. Very even wear, I tow pretty frequently and have not had any problems. Balanced very easily (minimal weights) and have excellent wet/dry/snow/mud traction. I had 4 tires mounted/balanced/road hazzard for less than $750 at my local co-op tire location.

if youre only looking at those 2 tires I'd go BFG all terrains. they are great for an all terrain. even though I'm a huge NITTO fan I have bad things from buddies that have run the TERRA Graps. Have a buddy with a F250 FX4 and hes gets stuck in wet grass in TERRAs....

I have had both and would go with the BFG. The Terra tire really sucked in the snow and were really bad on ice. although Im not sure you get much snow and ice where you are.
Highway manners on the Nitto were good along with decent off road traction. However I would still prefer the BFG.
On the flip side my next set will be Goodyear Duratacs. I have heard very few bad things about them.

Nittos are garbage and I'm done giving them chances. 4 different trucks, 2 150's a 250 and a 350 and 3 lasted less than 20,000 mi and the other lasted 25,000. They do not like anything with weight. I am in the process of putting bfg's on my 150 because my front Nittos are beyond bald and my rears look to have about 75% tread a lot of that is probably from the previous owner not rotating the tires but it just confirmed my theory that they don't like weight not even the engine.
