Issue: Atturo Trail Blade vs Toyo vs Nitto Tire Reviews

While most tire brands today are owned by Goodyear or Cooper, there are still significant differences in tire quality you will get at each price point. Our members discuss advice on new tires for the F-150. In this discussion, find out:

 • Are the Atturo Trail Blade M/T tires a good low-cost choice?
 • How does their tread life stack up?
 • Is it worth to pay for Toyo or Nitto tires?
 • What is the traction like on these tires?
 • What are the tire dimensions to consider?

Some members say, “you get what you pay for” with the Atturo’s, and that Toyo’s are generally known known for their 50k+ mileage life with proper rotations. At the end of the day, you might only be saving ~$400 on the Atturo’s, for what is arguably a very important part of your truck.

Read on below to find out or contribute your own tips to this
discussion.

Regarding mount and balance, only place I know that does it for free are friend's garages lol, even the family mechanic will charge a few bucks! gotta make a livin' somehow.

And eff road hazard, that's what trip A is for lol.

Good luck, brother
Haha. Already tried that. They pulled the college payment help card. Gotta go with their wishes. I think I can get NTB to order from wherever they'll just do a small markup. Did it with my current terra's just don't remember how much they marked them up to make a profit.

I don't know if this thread is still active, but I've realized many brands of tires are either owned by Goodyear or Cooper at this point. Atturo I believe is owned by Cooper. Cooper also owns Toyo and Nitto(and several other brands.) I'm not saying that they're the exact same tires but similar. The atturo's look closer to Cooper STT's which have pretty good reviews and told to be comparable to the Toyo's. As well as Nitto terra grapplers looking similar to Toyo AT2's, and one Mastercraft AT(I forgot the exact name). I'm looking at the Mastercraft Courser MXT's personally. They're more aggressive than either the Toyo's or Cooper's but look to have the same carcass so I'm pretty sure they'll hold up well.

Sorry for this being long, its just something I've noticed with all my research.
Oh and for Goodyear, Fierce MT's, and Kelly TSR's are Duratracs for substantially less.

So I have the 2013 stock 18s and I wanna put these tires on, but get the biggest set I can comfortably fit in my truck. 2.5inch level in the front. 4wd fx4. Anyone know what size will fit with no rub?

you can do a 35" tire with minor trimming (you won't even notice the trim work)

Next closest is rimzone for $1208.32 shipped to my door.
Well upon further digging for reviews there's tons that say they're selling tires 4-5 years old that are factory defects. I'd rather not take that chance so guess rimzone is where I'll be having NTB order from in a few weeks when I get my first paycheck.
geauxsouth where'd you order from?

@geauxsouth where'd you order from?
Honestly, mine were ordered through the shop here in Orlando only because they gave me a retail discount compared to the price on Rimzone. But Rimzone is where I would have ordered them. I did a massive amount of research on prices and Rimzone is the cheapest I have found other than a random ebay seller with shipping rates comparable to an extortion fee.

Off-topic alert: only because I've been talking to y'all on here a while, is a cold air intake worth getting? and if so, what's a good one that doesn't break the bank? I will be putting exhaust on in the future, but I need to buy a quick mod to satisfy the itch while I'm studying for the bar exam haha.

^nope, not worth it at all. Gotts Mod is just as good/better. An intake needs custom tuning to keep your motor from running lean, filters less than stock, and costs $300. I'd say worth it if you could get a used one off of CL for less than $100 and you already had a programmer.

Gotcha, thanks for the input. I actually just ran across the Gotts Mod in a thread the other day, before then I had never heard of it. I'll have to do some more research.
