Issue: Atturo Trail Blade vs Toyo vs Nitto Tire Reviews

While most tire brands today are owned by Goodyear or Cooper, there are still significant differences in tire quality you will get at each price point. Our members discuss advice on new tires for the F-150. In this discussion, find out:

  • Are the Atturo Trail Blade M/T tires a good low-cost choice?
  • How does their tread life stack up?
  • Is it worth to pay for Toyo or Nitto tires?
  • What is the traction like on these tires?
  • What are the tire dimensions to consider?

Some members say, “you get what you pay for” with the Atturo’s, and that Toyo’s are generally known known for their 50k+ mileage life with proper rotations. At the end of the day, you might only be saving ~$400 on the Atturo’s, for what is arguably a very important part of your truck.

Read on below to find out or contribute your own tips to this
discussion.

I have an all sports pass and have gone to like 1 bball game and 1 soccer game, both way back last semester haha.

I had the tint done, oil changes, spark plugs, and had some help removing studs while doing the long tubes, but that's about it. That move ain't as bad for me as it is the brother that'll be a senior and the sister who will be a junior, with the last one entering high school. It SUCKS for them haha. But my dad got a job up there. He bought them another year or two down here by choosing not to move back to NJ when his company was bought out a while back. Kinda ****ty that all 4 of us have really only lived in the one house in Houston for our entire lives, but oh well!

This thread really ain't about tires anymore

I got in like in June and didn't get a sports pass in time so I had a 3-game football pass. Bought other tickets or got free ones. I forgot about getting my tint done. Got the front two windows for $100, then had to get the passenger one redone and got the eyebrow done for an extra $60 down the road because I "couldn't give him the warranty card that he gave me" which I never got. My plugs a shop diagnosed it for me for free then refused to do the work for me because of the issues with them breaking off in the head. Oh and I had the trans rebuilt (touchy subject). And makes sense. Gotta follow the money with kids going to college. Sucks though. I'm hoping to stay in the Houston area, but definitely not out of Texas if I can help it. And nope it really ain't. Haha.

I graduated LSU in 2010 and came to Orlando to go to law school. Graduating law school in two weeks, then moving back to God's country after FL and LA bar.

Oh nice. Making the big bucks. What are you looking to do? Like private law firm, corporate law, etc.?

Did you transfer from somewhere or did you just carry a lot of high school credit and that's how you're graduating in 2016? Warranty card, who the hell still uses those? I'd be like "yo, look my name up in the system, pal." Oh, my shop was willing to do the plugs. To the tune of $900 . . . pops wasn't happy about that one haha. Whenever my motor or trans goes, I certainly ain't doing that, so it's cool to still claim DIY status and have that work done haha. I'm definitely not leaving Texas either if I can help it. Not super interested in staying near Houston though. I gotta be further away from the city with a little more land and a little less people haha. There are enough jobs here that we should both be alright staying.

Haha, making the big bucks is the plan! I need something to finance the future mods . Yeah, private firm in civil law for sure. Prosecuted for the state last summer and I quickly learned that criminal law sucks, (the satisfaction of throwing thugs in jail doesn't outweigh the modest pay) IMO that is. The pops is in construction, and I've taken a lean towards that field and have a few prospects around the Pensacola area. After a year with whatever firm I go with I'll move back to NOLA or Baton Rouge.

I transferred from San Jac in Pasadena, had to drive 45 minutes every day but had I finished out the required courses there I would've been guaranteed admission here. But it only was available to do at the Central campus at that time and was much easier than the program they have now for it. I should be getting my ring in the spring though. That's where a good chunk of my summer money is going. Haha. $1,100 for the basic ring. It's a very small shop. Haha. Like everything is still on paper. I don't think he even keeps records. To pay via card he has to call some number and run your card. It's very small. Lol. He does good work though for really cheap. We've definitely jumped off into projects that we were like "Why did we do this? We don't have any idea what we're doing... to google!" Haha. But it's fun. I know my truck inside and out but there's still a lot I don't know. I feel ya about wanting somewhere out a little. I like the Alvin area. It's open but still close to things like Walmart and Kroger.

Haha. Definitely gonna have money to do that. I like the thought of law pay but not the thought of being in school even longer. I like working and so far my school has made that impossible. Oh well. Engineering pays pretty well. Looking at a potential job (if they'd get back with me on if it's gonna happen...) at $20/hour which ain't bad. You sound like you're set to have an awesome ride and have money left over! Kudos for sticking it out through that much school!

Oh okay, that's cool. $1,100 just for the ring?! WTF . . . That's pretty much your tires right there haha. That's ridiculous though. But yeah, working on cars can start off fun, get annoying quick, then ends up giving a nice sense of accomplishment when you're done haha.

One of the worst things... Thinking your final is at 1:30 so you get there at 1:20 to find out it was actually at 1:00 and you forgot your instructor sent an email saying that... Still finished 3rd and got an 80. Not bad for no studying and showing up late.
