Them I stomp them hard. The brakes will smell hot but the vibration stops and the braking is super smooth. I am guessing it is caused by some kind of material transfer onto the rotors.

I almost bought new rotors until someone asked me to try this. It worked... ymmv.

I am sure MY problem with OEM brakes on both my Ford trucks were the cheap rotors. I replaced the rotors with better units and I never had another problem.

Well, I finally got my Powerstop Z36 brakes installed along a new set of Michelin Defender LTX M&S tires yesterday. So far so good, I'll update when get some miles on the new brakes and tires.

Was that price for both front and rear? If so, you got a really sweet deal. I think mine were $424 with free shipping from autoanything.com and I thought that was good.

Well, I have had the Powerstop Z36 pads and rotors on my truck for about 350 miles and took a long trip into central Pennsylvania today and went up and down many steep grades. The braking is strong and smooth. No complaints.
