Default 33s or 35s for 2WD XLT?

New to the forum. I am 18 and my dad is getting me a new truck as an early graduation present. It is a 2013 XLT 2WD. I want to put a lift on it. Either 2.5" leveling kit or 4" suspension lift with leveling kit. Can I run 35s on just the leveling kit? Or should I get the suspension lift to? If I run 35s with the lift and everything, do I have to regear? If so would 33s be better than 35s?

For me I would put a 4/6 drop on it being 2wd.

If you must lift a 2wd then you are going to need a 4 inch I am sure for 35s. I would think you could make 33s work on a level kit.

Yea I'm thinking of doing just the leveling kit with 33s cause I called the dealer and they said the leveling kit would not void the warranty but the suspension lift will. So I'll probably just do that and put a 6 inch lift with 35s in a couple of years.

But if I can run 35s on a 3" procomp leveling kit then I'll probably do that.

You can run 35's on a 2wd. I am but I'm running an ADD bumper and 2" level.

Try to stay with a narrower 35 and if you get wheels make sure they are +10 offset or higher.

My new setup is a 325/70/17 with a -5 17x9 wheel and I just had to trim a lot of plastic and metal to make it work. Not what I was going for but had to make it work.

I'll see but I'll probably run 33s then cause if I have to do some trimming, I think the dealership will void my warranty

You won't need to trim with 33's

I know I don't need any trimming with 33s. I just wanted to know if I need trimming for 35s with a 3" level.
