Default 305/55r20 or ~33-34" Streetable Tire on Stock Rims

I just got a 2013 Ecoboost Screw (traded 2009 exact same truck ) and want to do a 2" AS level kit with 2.5/3" block. Hoping for some feedback

Driving - Unfortunately this will be 99% on-road with majority highway driving (~90 mile daily commute, 3000 miles per month). This is purely for looks, I held off doing it on my 2009 and now I want to do it MPG be damned. I only get offroad 2-3x per year for hunting. Am I going to get flamed for this, at least I was honest

Tires - I want to keep the stock rims and do tires. Is 305/55/20 where I should be looking? I worried about the width on the stock rim. Looking for some feedback on what tires I should be looking at, right now I'm at the Nitto Terra Graplers and Pirelli Scorpion ATRs (in my experience both have pretty bad tread life ~20K miles). I'm also open to other tire sizes.

I'm looking for something that fits my driving, fits my lift and wont be TOO much louder than stock or drastically affect the ride. Any advice, review or opinion is appreciated.

275/55r20 - 31.9" x 10.8" - STOCK

305/55r20 - 33.2" x 12.0"
Toyo Open Country AT II
- Too wide/heavy for highway?

275/65r20 - 34.1" x 10.8"
Michelin LTX AT2
- Too tall and narrow, will they look like bicycle tires?
- expensive, but I'd bite the bullet if best choice

Hey i'm new to the forum as of today but i've done a whole bunch of tire research lately because i'm getting new tires for my 20s this weekend. It was between the Goodyears Wrangler AT/S LT275/65/20, Silent Armor LT285/60/20, and Wrangler SR-A LT305/60/20. I choose LT285/60/20 Goodyear wrangler Silent Armor. My buddy works at a Goodyer dealer so he is getting me a killer deal. 33.5in tall, 9.1 treadwidth (allegedly), 80psi. Not too bad on looks either

I've been running 305x55 Nitto Terra's for almost 2 yrs and 24k miles. No problem's other then losing around 2 mpg on average...they are real close to the upper control arm but no rubbing. Ran them at stock height for awhile with no problem's before I leveled the truck. Tires are wearing great and ran them in everything but snow. Being a 10 ply E rated tire they are heavy and ride a little rough but not excessive. Nitto has this size in an XL rating which would be a little lighter in weight.

Can anyone provide some feedback as to Fill Pressure and Weight? When I look at the Nitto Terragrapler and Toyo Open Country AT 2, the Nitto calls for Max 65 psi and the Toyo 80 psi.

Will these tires ride stiffer than a normal non 10 ply tire?

Atta boy!

Check out the Cooper Zeon LTZ. I've got them, and they are amazing! Just the right amount of off road traction for your needs, and they look great. Also, they are just slightly louder than stock. Almost can't even hear them.

I'm not gonna flame you. I spend 95% of my time on road too!

Don't worry about the max in the tire that's only telling you their capacity... Go by the placard most likely it's says 35 psi that's what is recommended for the weight of your vehicle now you are going with a 10 ply tire just add extra 7 pounds and you are going to be alright.
If you have any other question pm I work with tires and rims all day long

Max psi is when the truck's bed is fully loaded or towing a heavy trailer. Everyday use I've been running 42 psi (cold) and these LT tires have been wearing great. Even at these lowered pressures they will ride a little rougher then a P rated tire but not unbearable.

Well Im down to the following:

Cooper Discoverer AT3 - Good street tire, doesnt look great
Cooper Zeon LTZ - on par with Nitto TG I guess, not sure on ride characteristics
Nitto Terra Grappler - good tire I've read
Toyo Open Country AT2 - mixed bag between older AT1 reviews and newer AT2
