ZEN-A2B B&O Stereo integration?

I was told that running the optical line only provides 2 channels so I'm not certain how you would retain fader controls with only two channels. The supplied RCAs need to be used for full fader/balance controls. If you set your amps up correctly you'll never need to touch fader and balance so the optical out might make more sense to use.

She is all installed and worth every penny (to me anyway)
My Coles notes:
Unit is really small. About the size of two pack of smokes. Mounting tabs would be a nice touch. I wrapped some nylon tie straps around it and screwed it to the back side of my amp wall.
I ran optical output from the Zen to my Audiocontrol dm-810
At first, I thought I had full fader and balance control, but it turned out I didnt. Fader messes with the balance. With fader set to middle, balance works fine.
When tying into the Can Lo and Hi signal wires, you might be tempted to just cut the wire from the plug - there are two of each going into the factory amp plug, using common pin on the plug. The system needs the can low and hi to go through this, so you have to "tee" into one set of these, or else a bunch of other stuff wont work (like your dash, speedo, tach, radio (important)...
Overall instalation was quite simple.
SOUND QUALITY: !!!! WOW
One million percent improvement. No time delay messing with the signal summing... flat EQ.
I am sure pricing of this unit will come down when there is some competition, but I am more than satisfied.

Couple questions:
1. the tweeter channels don't come from the b&o amp like they did with the Sony system so did you end up pulling new wire to the a-pillars for the tweets?
2. did you end up just splicing and soldering into the rest of the factory speaker harness for your front and rear door speakers or did you do new runs for those channels as well?
Thanks for your feedback.

One thing I was wondering was how I was going to mount this.
Nav-TV recommends using the TOSLink for a better signal. There tech is very hepful.

I would prefer to have a balance control, as I like the rear to help when I really wanna blast loud metallica, or when the kids are in the back I can turn it down for them.... but its not a real deal killer for me.

As far as I can tell, everything still works as normal. The few people I have talked to over the phone say that call quality is still good, meaning the echo canceling is still working.

In regard to the factory speaker harness, one of the benefits of the dsr1 is their harness was plug and play on the speaker level side of the amp. Meaning they gave you a labeled plug that connected to the factory harness so you didn't have to solder and splice the factory harness. Obviously, this unit doesn't provide that.

Nice. If possible can you post some pics of the install and the CAN Low and High you need to tee into. I haven't tore into my truck yet so I have no idea what this is LOL.

I had originally put in deutch plugs for everything on the grey connector, to make it easier to get my amp board in and out, and I had a 4 pin connector for the two sets of can wires. When I installed my Zen at first, I just took out 2 of the pins after seeing they were tied together in the grey plug. This didnt work and I had to put it back together and actually solder in a tee into these lines.
The Toslink is definitely the way to go, but I do have a little pit of high pitch static. This may be due to the Zen being drounded to the factory harness rather than the ground distribution block that everything else is on. I am going to try and hook up an rca cable just to see if that helps the static. Its only noticeable at very low volumes.
