Default Would this be a good audio setup?

I'm looking at these speakers:
Amazon.com: 2 Pairs KICKER DS68 6x8" 2-Way Coaxial Car Audio Speakers 280 Watts Total 11DS68: Car Electronics Amazon.com: 2 Pairs KICKER DS68 6x8" 2-Way Coaxial Car Audio Speakers 280 Watts Total 11DS68: Car Electronics

This Sub: http://www.ebay.com/itm/KICKER-TC10-SINGLE-COMP-10-SUB-4OHM-BOX-/221263428086?pt=Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures&hash=item338453f9f6&vxp=mtr#ht_45wt_1255
And I have this head unit: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Kenwood-KD...d-USB/21550142

As for the amp,I don't know what I need exactly. The amp will only power the sub,I'm going to run the speakers off of the head unit. I'm hoping to get some opinions because sometime around the end of the month I'm gonna start ordering speakers and want to know what to get ahead of time. Thanks in advance for any help.

If you're going with a single sub I'd go for at least a 12 or two 10's

I had the same Kickers in my doors and they were fine. Good upgrade from stock. I also had a single 10" sub and it was more bass than I knew what to do with.

One 10" sub with a quality enclosure and a decent amp is fine IMHO. That's what I am running. I listen to mostly rock and the one sub fills the sound pretty well.
Enjoy your new system.

I got this one under my back seat and was amazed by the bass. It wont set off car alarms but for a shallow mount 10 inch I couldnt ask for better.

Kicker makes good stuff so you should be happy either way. You may want to add an amp to your door speakers though

Id recommend getting a Kenwood 4channel amp from Amazon. They are very solid amps for the price. You could use front channels for front doors and bridge the rear channels for the sub, then run your rear door speakers from yiur stereo. I recommend this setup all the time because it works so well and is very affordable.

Its a subjective thing. I've had a lot of systems. Some have been crap and some have been insane. I pretty much knew what to expect with a single shallow mount 10. Or so I thought. I'm not gonna exagerate or anything but if your considering a single 10 inch sub, this one is hard to beat especially for the price. Just be sure to give it 200 watts from a decent amp and I cant imagine you not being more than happy with it.

I actually keep my bass turned to just over half and its perfect.

I might go ahead and give it a shot,it's between that and the Kicker 10". I listen to country and some songs I like a lot of bass, such as Joe Diffie and Travis Tritt songs, those have a ton of bass in them that you don't hear much on just stock speakers but they sound great on subs.
