Default Help needed

okay, so I have power run, remote and ground as well.

I have a schoche adapter to add rca’s. I need that to get my powered sub working. Here is where I’m at:

i removed green tape and all the wiring ring diagrams I found are different colors than what I have..

so youre saying the wires that are twisted together (see image) are speaker +/-?

If that is the case, would I have to just do the same thing from the passenger side as well?

Are you looking for the wires in the b pillar? That kinda looks like the door sill.

yeah thats the sill lol.. , I’m guessing there are more in the b pillar right? Would both sides be there? Or would I have to get to the passenger side as well?

I remember the old old days when head units had rca’s built in..

Yeah you will need to access the wires in the b pillar if you want to find the rear door speakers

I could be wrong but why would the rear door speakers be in the rear door sill?

they aren’t in the sill, they are in the B pillar. All wired and sounds decent. Better than stock at least..

thanks for all the help everyone.

The wires for the rear speakers go thru the door sill......So you can tap them there.

Thanks to all of the contributions I successfully installed a Rockville 10” powered sub. I’m using the rear speakers to turn the subwoofer on and off. The added sound is great in my opinion to my XLT 302A Supercrew. I may add the remote turn-on as I do get some strange sounds from the sub right before starting the truck and after I shut it down. Otherwise, very well laid out instructions here and the fitment is great. Thanks!

Yeah, that's a common issue with signal turn on in these trucks. Grab fuse #23 from the passenger side kick panel. Throw an add a fuse in there and you are good to go!
