The CP108 is what I had in the old truck with that 250/1 JL monoblock amp. I thought it pushed it quite well. Isn't the RMS rating 300w on that sub?

Here's a couple pics of the CP108.

I swapped out the rear door speakers today and ran the wires to the 4 channel amp for my mids/highs. Had to stop to go to the kids basketball game. Just got home and getting ready to head back to the garage to finish mounting the amps and tune them.

The JL 500/1 definitely drives the CP108 better. It needs more power than the CP106 to really bring it to life. It heats deeper and is worth the money if you are looking at one of them. If you are listing to rock/metal only with punchy bass the smaller one would be fine with you, but I needed a little more.

I picked up a set of JBL Coaxials for the rear doors today because I was so happy with the JBL 6x8 components I put up front. I ran all of the wires today for a 4 channel and tossed a Punch 400a4 I had laying around on my mids/highs and couldn't be happier.
