I like Pioneer... Sadly, I have used Walmart cables for power and ground, a wire from Home Depot for remote, and Rockford Fosgate RCAs.

100% happy with the outcome of how it sounded.

i run the eclipse AVN30D, 400w/2 crunch black max amp, and a 10" shallow mount sony xplod in a reg cab truck box under my rear seat. they make a box for 2-10" subs that fits under the supercrew rear seat w/ 2 kicker CVX 10" shallow mount subs for $289 box, subs, and all. the only prob is my buddy has went through 2 or 3 of the boxes. the bass keeps breaking them.. a custom handmade box of 3/4" mdf will always be the best way to go. i havent upgraded my door speakers yet but i am. and noticed the factory was nice enough to put spots to mount tweeters in my doors, which is awesome. i would like to know what the best door components would be and fit the best.

I've had pioneer hu on all of my previous vehicles.
Luv the fact that it's easy to use and they have the best ipod interface out there.
Also, the price is reasonable.
I'm thinking of getting something different this time because of the need more than the want.
thinking of the getting the dual with 2.5'' screen that can play dvc, mp3 cd. i want to hook up a rear camera.
it's only 119 from sonixelectronics.

I run ALPINE always for subs and amps. I use to have an alpine HU in my old nissan frontier but I bought a JVC HU for my Ford an I love that too. I will always use Alpine for subs and amps though. Used them for years and never had any problems.

If you want the best stuff you have to mix and match nobody excels at every component of the car audio segment. My opinion best HU Pioneer best amp Alpine speakers and subs have a lot to do with your listening preference.

Alpine headunit. Monster cables. Memphis Components in the doors, memphis amp and two memphis 12's make for one banging system. i have that setup in my uncles f250. its good quality stuff but it gets pricey.
