What size speakers are in a '04?
I have a 4dr. The back seem to be 6x8. The front are 5 1/4 component? I to just drop in the speakers? Is it worth it to replace the factory amp? How much trouble is it to replace the factory amp. I bought an AVIC F900BT today with the ipod control and the thingy that lets you use the steering wheel controls. I figured I mine as well look into upgrading the rest of it.

there is no factory amp for the door speakers its ran off the head unit the only amp is for your factory sub, the fronts are 6.5's and the shroud can be removed to fit 5x7/6x8, the rears are 5x7/6x8, the thingy to let you use the steering wheel controls is a pac module, did you get the infrared version or the hard wired version?

there not "bad" but arnt ment to be played for long periods of time and on certain frequencies if i was you i would order 2 6.5" component sets, it would work best for you, off the deck and for when you are going to upgrade to more power later

yes they will, thats why i said the shroud thing has to stay in to make it work, maybe even trimmed a lil..for the rears you have to make a template which isnt hard to do at all and well worth it in the end
