That sucks because I see so many more component speakers in 6.5" which is what you'd need in the front..

There is an adapter to put a 6.5 in the front door. Most people do. Go to crutchfield enter your truck info select front door and 6.5 speaker and it will show you adapter number.

both front and rear require an adapter (metra) or you can modify the stock speakers to make them an adapter, but will destroy the stock speakers in the process.
^^^ What he said.

This is what I did, except with 6.75"s. I wanted all 4 door speakers to be the same, so I got (4) 6.75" speakers and Crutchfield sent me the adapters for all of them. All-in-all, a pretty easy install.

What was the adapter you used? Metra has the 82-5605 and 82-5607 both list fitting a 6.75. I'm looking to do the same 6.75 all around.

6x9 (or 6.5) COMPONENTS in the front (woofer in door, tweeter in A pillar).
6.5 COAXIALS in the rear.

Looking to know change out my speakers in my 2018 screw. Why would you want all the same speakers instead of having the bigger speaker in the front.
Is it better to have same size all around?

I don't think the debate is about having all speakers be the same size; it's about 6x9 vs. 6.5. There’s an argument that 6.5’s produce better sound quality. If you look at premium offerings from speaker makers, they usually come in 6.5. But I’m no expert, and I guess that it only matters if you're buying the very best.

You are best off going with the same brand front and rear. 6x9 components up front and 6.5 coaxials in the rear. You actually want the biggest speaker you can fit in the front doors so you get the best mid bass response up front. That's why you see people trying to fit 8inch drivers in the front doors. You can find some 6.5 drivers that produce great mid bass, but it is easier with a quality 6x9 component set.

So ignore the same size all around debate, ignore the 6x9 vs 6.5 debate, and stick the biggest component set you can up front with the same brand coaxial in the rear.
