Kenwood and JVC merged in 2008, so it's all the same stuff.

JVC HU with a 400w Rockford Fosgate Punch amp behind the rear backrest powering Infinity Kappa 6X8 component speakers in the front and Rockford Fosgate 6X8 3 way speakers in the back. MTX Thunderform 12" sub with its own amp in an inclosure under the rear seat. Invisible except for the HU in the dash.

It sounds really good and has a nice kick. It won't win any competitions but it can get loud enough to be painfull, and the sound quality is great. I built it to be well rounded with good sound quality instead of being some bass factory.

I've always had really good luck with Pioneer. They're pretty well known for their H/U also

JVC and Kenwood merged, yes but they are far from the same thing the features in the JVC units are Jo where near the quality of the Kenwood units. Especially once you're into the higher end units.

System specs is in Sig. Here's a couple pics.....

Here's are the amps during a test fire. I cleaned up the wires after..

Two 12's Pioneer TS-SW3001S2 2ohm svc

No name screen I fabbed onto sunglass visor. Runs off my cd/dvd Kenwood deck.

My problem is I'm not good at matching amps to subs. My HiFonics was kicked down to me so I'm using it but I know its under powering my subs. I need an amp to match them but dont know which one to go with.

Any suggestions???
