Default Way to bypass DVD play function while in drive?

I have a pioneer HU and was wondering if they make something to bypass the restriction to play dvds while driving. Having just the key on will not let me pass it, so I would like to just bypass it completely if possible.

generally there are a couple of ways to do this. If it has a parking break connection just ground the wire and see if that works. If that does not work you will probably need to find 12v wire and put a switch between the 12v and the parking break wire. Then you turn the switch on and off 2 times and it will let you watch your movies.

So I can ground that wire and it will think the truck is never moving I assume?

Thats what I did a long time ago. I dont know if they have changed the systems to be smarter, but the 2 ways I described worked on 2 head units I did back in like 07.

Amazon.com: PAC TR-7 Universal Trigger Output Module for Video Bypass: Car Electronics Amazon.com: PAC TR-7 Universal Trigger Output Module for Video Bypass: Car Electronics

You'll need to google your specific part number of the head unit and make sure it works.

Do a youtube search for your model of radio. There are some very detailed instructional videos available that will show you how to do it.

Thanks folks. Went ahead and ordered the bypass off amazon. Only $10 so I can live with that. The grounding of the wire didn't work for mine by the way.

Any suggestions on the steering wheel controls adapter needed for aftermarket HUs? I have seen them from $40-$150. Any reason I should get one over the other?
