Is it wacked to try and add tweeters now?
I installed new speakers in all 4 doors of my '10 STX scab. Pioneer 3 ways(I can't remember which ones) in the front...and kickers(also can't remember which ones) in the rear. Don't ask my reasoning there...it was a money thing, haha!
Recently added the ktp-445U with the PAC AOEMFRD24,and the whole system woke up. I'm pumped as to how it sounds now. And I didn't expect the amount of bass I now get. I though it would be the other way around...so any way...can I add tweeters to this? Or is that dumb? Or even possible?

Sure its possible - might be a bit bright depending on the tweeter and how the 3-ways sound now. The right way to do it would be to get a decent component set for up front.

You have 3 way speakers in the front with 2 way speakers in the back... That equates to a 10 speaker system discluding any subwoofers. I think you will be just fine on your higher frequency spectrum.

Be careful when you switch out to components. At 45W RMS, you're still in a fairly low power level, if the components you buy have a lower sensitivity by a few dBs, you won't be able to get them as loud as the coaxials/triaxials.
Beyond that, if you've already blown a speaker, it's time to start thinking of why. Do you have the amp gain maxed, the HU volume maxed, and the bass up?

I checked out the speaker...and its not blown. It did sound.... "flappy?" If that's a word. Now it seems fine. I'm starting to think I was mistaking my tonneau flapping at a highway speed as the culprit.
