Just installed the PAC today on my 2011 and it works great. It was a very easy install (plug and play). My system sounds great and for $40 shipped one of the best mods you can do for your truck.

Q: I'm curious about your PAC AOEM-FRD24. I have a 2012 F150 Supercrew with sync (no sony amplified system). I see this device is only listed for 2010 and prior years, any reason why? I've seen people have been using them on 2011 and 2012 models. Thanks!

A: Hello,

Unfortunately the AOEM-FRD24 is not compatible on the 2011 and up vehicles. 2011 and up vehicles have a Can-Bus system and this is why it will not work on these vehicles. If someone is claiming it works on these vehicles they are mistaken as it is not possible. Thank you.

**Why would they say this if it can be done unless there is some level of risk? Aren't they loosing out on sales by not stating these can be used on 2011 and 2012's?

They work. The Can-Bus has nothing to do with what this adapter does.

Quick question about using two powered subs with this. Obviously both subs have their own amplifier so my plan was to run both RCA outputs back to the subs and use one for each (no y splitter).

I know that if I fade front to back the subs sound will change independent of the other, but would there be any other issues running one sub off of the front RCAs and the other off of the rear RCAs?

This person is an idiot. There are lots of guys including myself that have this interface on our 2011 and 2012 and they work perfect.

Thanks for the reply I figured as much, but I was curious because of SYNC going through the fronts. Either way I am going to try it out, and worse case I get a y and run off of the rear RCAs.

I did a multi install. I added in the PAC along with an Alpine ktp-445 power pack. Some people said you had to t the speaker lines. It worked in line just fine. The truck now sounds a lot better. Mine is a Lariat Ecoboost with the sirius 6 disc changer system. It also has all of the molex connectors. I think it is funny PAC won't approve it for the 2011 trucks like mine. It works great.

This is exactly my plan, glad you have had no issues.
