Been a bit since I have done anything on this, but I just ordered an Alpine KTP-445U. Says it can handle both amp and preamp signals. So I am thinking I can just splice the amp into my existing system????

Not sure what the BT-5520 is????

Sorry for my no knowledge questions. But I was never big on vehicle audio, so I have a huge learning curve.......

EDIT: Just found out what BT-5520 was....duh. Anyways, can I just cut the wires and splice? concerned about signal levels I am putting into the Alpine amp. But as I stated above, says it can do either signal type....

No worries, the KTP-445U has gain level control so I wouldnt worry to much. You can definitely just splice factory wire but if you want to revert back to stock can be annoying to resplice together all the wires you cut.

I don't mind splicing. I was going to use these type connections...

This way if I ever need to go back to stock, I just pull off and reconnect.

BTW, do these amps come with an wiring diagram or at the very least the wires labelled?

Thanx for the help..

Merry Christmas.....
