I'm a fan of kenwood excelon tweeters, but that's me.
first thing I would advise you to do, go to any shops that sell audio supplies and start listening, first thing you want to determine is if you prefer the sound of soft silk dome tweeters, or hard dome like titanium, or maybe in the middle with poly or mica.
I personally like the sound of $60 titaniums over the sound of a $300 pair of silk domes.
But I will say back a few years ago, my buddy who is a die hard Pioneer fan, installed a pair of 1.25" silk domes made by pioneer, they were yellow colored silk domes inside. I think they were around $90 but he got them on clearance for $30. As bad as I hate to say it, those Pioneer tweeters were the best sounding tweets I have ever heard.
