You might lose a little bass not all.you might gain bass also, And the cd player will blow any speaker if u turn it up all the way. distortion is what kills a speaker when you turn it up to where it starts cracking an doesn't sound clear anymore that's distortion u can turn the bass down a little and get more volume out of them but only to an extent. Door speakers aren't meant to pick up much below 70hrtz Wich isn't very low like what's in rap but for rock and country it should be fine

And maybe just buy a pair for the front and see how you like the sound. If you want to buy more for the rear you can, if you don't want the hassle or to spend more money dont.
