Has anybody installed the kicker ks door speakers to go with the complete VSS system. Wondering if it would upgrade the sound with the door speakers being replaced.

I had the Complete Kicker system from ford. It is a improvement over the stock system. I sold my truck and removed them all. Right now I have the Kicker KS68 speakers installed with a Clarion xc1410 amp. It is ok but not as good as the complete kicker system. Also I don't have my doors sound deadened yet either. I will know more next week when the deadener comes in.

Thanks for the info. Are you going to install the of the rest of the kit?

I'm not a fan of Kicker speakers. Subs and amps are ok though. If you're going to replace the speakers, I'd suggest going with a better brand.

The KS68 are the same speakers that come in the kit but I had them way before I bought the kit. So I have 4 of the ford Kicker speakers then I have 4 of the Kicker KS68 speakers. I just bought the Complete kicker system for the Super Crew today so I will put the whole kit in my new truck when it comes in.

Kicker are not the best door speakers but with the complete system(dsp amp and sub) they are pretty decent.

Thats the route i am gonna go. Saw yours for sale on ssi, but i have a 16.

Yeah, I have seen the the 16 sub boxes and wish they could do that for my 14. They mount behind the seat and don't take up space.
