time for a cap?
Ok I have done the big 3, and a new alternator. The new alt is 220a and 14.5v. With the new alt, my lights are still flashing a lot.
I am going to recheck my grounds, but with watching the voltage on my sct as the bass hits, it goes down to 13.5 v and then back up to about 15v. I have 2 caps I could try but do not have the charging bulb for them. I would have 1.5 total farad. Also, if I do add a cap, are there any that are weather proof? room behind the seat is scarce.
Thoughts?

Upgrade your battery first before spending money on a new cap. Can't hurt to try one if you have laying around for the occasional hit of bass tones but in my experience they don't help in the 95% of music I listen.
There's also a 4th leg to consider for a Big 4 upgrade and that is the cab to frame ground. If you are grounding your amps to your cab, then I'd suggest upgrading the cab/frame ground also.
