Got it.
I didn't connect. If you connect the obd, there is an option in the system to read reverse from obd.
I am not sure which cable you are talking about here. I was referring to the black plastic box which is the interface module.

I think I understand the question. You have to swap out your account control circuit board over to this unit, so you still need the correct control ac board, the radio doesn't change that.
I have a lariat so can't say from experience.

Not like this that ties into stock system fully. They have people that have put iPads in custom made trim pieces, but their is no iPad version of a complete system replacement.
Android is so much more customizable and open, hence why all these after market systems have Android.

For every 1 person that can't stand Android there's 100,000 more that feel the same way about that proprietary b/s that is apple.

SYNC module and OEM radio brain will be retained. Hazard buttons will be relocated to the top of the bezel. Retains all B&O/Sony connectivity if you have the factory amplified system. Even the sync 3 screen is passed through and integrated into the android screen. See the attached picture of the GM version.
See the red box. All the other functions top and bottom are still available. The sync screen will just be a "section" of the screen. The red box shows how the factory GM screen is passed through. Same resolution as oem. Same concept on the fords.

The Ford versions, if I remember don't do the sync screen pass through thing. That was only done on the GM version because of some work around they had to do to get the system to actually work. That's why it took so long for the GMs to come out. Ford, ram, tundras all just incorporate into the system, keep all sync, steering controls, etc. (Except sync voice, you use OK Google)The new version just adds the ability to picture in picture from what I've been told over the current versions. And fast boot. I can't justifi the price since my current TStyle radio works great.
