Yes they will fit but you will spend a good amount of money on a box or to have one made, not very many places make stealth boxes that fit twelves. My buddy has two 10" JLW1's in his seats in his 99 f150 and they hit pretty damn hard. If you go onto caraudio.com there are tons of guys that can make you the box to JL spec's. You also may have to put risers under your seat to lift it about an inch or two. The TW5's flex like crazy though so they may hit the bottom of your seat or your floor depending on weather its an up or down firing box. So you might want to look into something different. Also the Type-R's and Type-S's are trash stay away from those.

I was under the impression from several sites that there is not enough air room under our seats for 12's and the 10's will sound better.

yes as far as premade boxes go, but if you can build a box and know what your doing, you can get some decent bass with 12's under your seat, i have seen it. but i dont think its worth it. i would just do 10's.

Default subs

If you want to maximise your airspace to allow a pair of 12's to get clsoe to their required sealed volume, you could always go to fibreglass.

Take a look at:-
http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36873

There's a monster thread about how to do glass work.

Even if you do glass, I think you are going to max out at about 2 Cu Ft, so look at the specifications on the subs and see what the sealed volume is suggested for them.
There's no way you can port 2 12's.

If you want a box design with 2 8's ported to 32Hz 1 cu ft net volume after speaker displacement and subs, let me know, that's what I'm just building for my 03 ext cab.

Enjoy the car audio bug

As far as air volume and mounting depth go, this worked out great for me. Hits nice and solid in a sealed box under the back seat.

8"s, u can easily have proper airspace for 4 8's sealed, 2-3 8's ported with no issue, it will get more loud than 2 bigger 12's stuffed in too little airspace, the jl's have too big of a price tag for the quality, much better for cheaper
