Which tablet head unit should I get?

The iPad functionality is laughable compared to AOSP Android. I have zero Apple products for many reasons. If you are happy in your herd then I am happy for you.

I apologize if anyone thinks I was being abrasive. I am a literal person when I make comparisons. This post was about which Android Head Unit to get. There are only Chinese Android Head Units as far as I know. Joying does have a US warehouse in L.A.
The unit I bought came from that warehouse. I bought the one with physical buttons because I like having a round volume ****. There are two 7" 2GB versions. One is fully capacitive and the other has physical buttons. They are the same in every other respect. My model number is US-JY-UL135N2.

Kenwood is my preference but reading thru the dash kit thread, seems the pioneer works better with dash kit steering wheel controls... also they are clearing room for 2017 models...a month ago the 8200 was 1300...now its under 900
With kenwood or pioneer, the backup camera will work seamless...with a bigger screen that helps!
edit...I miss read thread title...your asking for tablets...they make a kit that fits right over the 4.2 screen and fits an ipad... no need to buy the dash kit and works with backup cam

One other thing you should be aware of. The scosche kit includes provisions for retaining the factory backup camera. In some cases, such as mine, the camera control module is integrated into the radio that you remove when using the dash kit. I have ordered the same backup camera module shown in the pictures in the dash kit thread. I will update once I get it put in and hopefully it works.
Just a warning for those considering the scosche dash kit. I have informed scosche about this discrepancy as well. You will know as soon as you take the bezel and 8" screen out. If you have an external camera module it will be mounted on the metal dash brace directly behind where the screen is. In my case, the harness that would plug into that module was plugged into the radio/cd player.

There is no other module that I can find. If I plug the connector into the radio, forscan finds the camera module again.
